Moyes acknowledged the team’s recent inconsistencies, particularly the struggle to string together effective play across the wings.
However, he emphasized that a three-game winning streak has been a critical turning point for the squad. "I'm still feeling that I could do with just getting a bit more in the final third, where we think we can maybe create more or make more chances, but we're back to back wins tonight, which for us is great," Moyes said.
The manager also highlighted the individual performance of Dwight McNeil, who was instrumental in the recent victory over Burnley.
According to Moyes, McNeil's contributions—including his passing and control that led to the second goal—were at a level not seen in previous performances. "I'm really pleased for Dwight because, you know, he's probably had a tough time, and it just shows you... he played much, much better tonight," Moyes added.
Furthermore, the return of players like Kian Dempsey Hall, who was sidelined for six weeks with an injury, has been vital in helping the team regain its rhythm. Moyes noted that while the impact of missing key players was evident during December and January, the side is now displaying improved cohesion.
