She stated, "As ordinary residents, we don't really get the benefits of it, but everyone will say, 'Oh, isn't tourism a wonderful thing?' and you go, 'Well no, because we don't benefit by tourism.'"
Another resident acknowledged the economic impact, particularly when Liverpool hosts major events that draw crowds of visitors. He described the situation as a "double-edged sword," noting that while tourism clearly brings money into the local economy, it also contributes to issues such as increased prices.
