Liverpool, a city already globally renowned for its musical heritage, is taking significant steps to strengthen its position as a leading international music destination. Later this year, a new project dubbed HOME (House of Music and Entertainment) is scheduled to open at the city's iconic Royal Court venue. The project aims to function as a collaborative international hub designed to foster business growth, investment, and innovation within the city's vibrant music and music technology sectors. Supported by the Liverpool City Council, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Music Futures, and Music Technology UK, the new hub will provide a dedicated space for local businesses to work and connect with potential partners in international markets.

The Royal Court site is expected to host a variety of initiatives, including investor showcases, networking events, international delegations, business support programs, and collaborative projects, all geared toward driving innovation and inward investment. This development arrives against the backdrop of a growing focus on music-driven economic development.

According to a report commissioned by the Liverpool City Council, the region’s music economy is already substantial, contributing approximately 780 million pounds annually and supporting more than 14,000 jobs. Furthermore, the report indicates that the sector is on a promising trajectory, with projections suggesting it could evolve into a one billion pound industry by 2035.
