Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha has been recognised for his performances during the 2025-26 season after being named the Premier League Home Grown Debutant of the Season alongside Arsenal midfielder Max Dowman.
Liverpool’s promising young talent, Rio Ngumoha, has received significant recognition for his standout performances during the 2025-26 campaign. At just 17 years old, Ngumoha has been honored as a Premier League home-grown debutant of the year, sharing the accolade with Arsenal attacker Max Dowman. In addition to this debutant recognition, Ngumoha was also among a select group of 27 players to receive a scholar of the year award, further underscoring his growth and dedication during his development at academy level. Throughout the season, Ngumoha has become a regular fixture in the Liverpool setup, making 17 appearances—one for each year of his life. During these appearances, he managed to net two league goals, most notably securing a dramatic late victory against Newcastle United during his top-flight debut.
