Operation Sentinel: Police renew crackdown on organised crime after more than one thousand three hundred and eighty-eight years of jail sentences

Police forces across the North East have renewed their commitment to Operation Sentinel after revealing the results of the past year's work. Officers say the regional partnership has helped secure more than one thousand three hundred and eighty-eight years of prison sentences, seize more than thirteen million pounds in cash, recover over one thousand kilograms of drugs, remove hundreds of weapons and safeguard vulnerable children.
