A year after unveiling ambitious plans to redevelop Elland Road, Leeds United have taken a significant step forward by confirming that planning permission has now been granted. The decision, approved by Leeds City Council’s Plans Panel at the Civic Hall, will allow the club to expand the historic stadium’s capacity to 53,000.
